Hey all!

Well another week has flown by and now we are into the last week of the transfer!! Just yesterday I turned 6 months!! It's crazy how time flies. Saturday was Elder Bednar's visit and Elder Jay Jensen of the Presidency of the Seventy was there as well. A few days before the meeting, the mission gave us two articles for us to read by Elder Bednar They were "Ask in Faith" and "Seek Learning by Faith". I suggest you guys take a look at these because they are really good. The meeting was informal and he asked us what we learned and also asked us questions about other things, so it was very interactive. One of my favorite things is that we need to act and not just be acted upon. So we need to act on the things we are taught and also when the Spirit is prompting us to do something we need to act on it. Another thing is when you are praying for us to find someone to teach, you need to be praying for Heavenly Father to help you get up and find someone for us to teach. He said we shouldn't be asking Heavenly Father to do our job! At the end of the meeting we all got to go up and shake his hand. It was pretty amazing to shake his hand and to feel the spiritual power that he has. He truly is an apostle of God. On Sunday, Elder Jensen spoke to the West Stake and that was amazing as well.

Yesterday, because I turned 6 months, I burned a tie! I have some pics that I will attach. Our investigators are still doggin' us and we can't ever get a time that we can meet with them.... but, oh well, that's missionary life for ya! Well I love you all and miss you guys! Have a great week!

What's your companion's name again?
Elder Caldwell from Gunnison UT and has been out about 9 months

Did you see Dallas De Priest when Elder Bednar was here?
Yep I saw him at transfers back in February and Saturday during the visit. It was cool, because the whole mission came down for it.

P.S. P-day next week is on Tuesday

Kind Words About Elder Moore

Editor's Note: We received a sweet email and pics from a senior missionary couple serving in the same area of Lethbridge as Hayden:

Dear Bro and Sis Moore:

In case you didn't know, your missionary son is a funny guy ! So, when in Canada, play "curl", eh! My wife and I are from Mesa. We are the only proselyting Sr couple in the mission. Elder Moore has created a problem for me. I don't want him to ever get transferred. However, we confess, we don't want ANY of them to ever get transferred !! We love these YM's soooo much !!

He's doing a lot better with his morning exercises at our home. I still have to "crack the whip". Oh, the look in their eyes! Yet, they still keep coming for more.

Hey all! Yes time is really flying by, I turn 6 months next Tuesday! Another week has come and gone, and it was really slow...not much happened. Our investigators seem to keep avoiding us... We are trying hard to get a baptism for this month and Heavenly Father is really putting us through a trial of faith right now, but I know we can get one before the month is over. Well this Saturday Elder Bednar is coming so we are getting ourselves prepped for that. Today we are going to go curling! ha We will see how that goes. haha Another thing I can't believe is that this transfer is almost over! Next week is our last full week of the transfer!

Did you get your box yet?
Yep and thanks for the Oreos!!

Did you hear back from your investigator on her baptism challenge?
No I think we kinda scared her off.

How is the teaching going?
Slow, because we can't ever find anyone home.

How are the members treating you in Lethbridge?
They are treating us awesome! We get fed a lot, they are missionary-minded and they love having us over!

Well I love you all and miss ya!

March 3, 2010

Hello everyone!

Well this week flew by! Last Thursday we had interviews with Pres. Archibald and they went well. Then, on Monday, we had our zone conference. That's where we listen to Pres. and Sis. Archibald speak and also have some trainings by the assistants to the Pres. They are always good, but we do sit there from like 9 to 4, so it gets a little long sometimes. haha. The main focus was on faith, which was great! On March 13, Elder Bednar is coming to speak to the whole mission. This will be awesome to hear an apostle and he will be speaking in Lethbridge! It will also be great to see people I haven't seen in awhile. I can't wait for it.

This last Friday we met with one of our investigators, Nicola, and we watched Finding Faith in Christ. The Spirit was strong and then after it was over Elder Caldwell asked her for a firm baptismal commitment. She seemed kinda surprised by it, but she said she would talk to her husband. We haven't heard back from her yet.

Today we went to the Cardston Temple as a zone, so that's about 26 of us. The temple is beautiful inside and was built around the same time as Mesa's, so they look similar on the outside.

Well, it's time for me to go. I will talk to you all next week! Don't forget to fast this Sunday for our 100 baptisms in March!

Love you all!
Elder Hayden Moore
